Dahni Bobbajon

The Mad Beggar of Cornfall was legendary.  Homeless, shirtless and wild-eyed, the self-proclaimed ronin defended the city against illusory attackers with his invisible blade.  Scorpion style martial arts displays provided an entertaining backdrop for the unsuspecting traveler, as the acrobatic lunatic navigated the streets with untraceable abandon.  Seen upon rooftops, emerging from sewage tunnels and within any edifice the city boasted, the Mad Beggar was a beacon of local culture.  Though he survived upon the charity of others, his positive influence lightened the load of any who happened to cross his path.

Dahni Bobbajon was as much a mystery to himself as he was to those who knew him.  Unknown origins and jumbled memories of ancient battles rattled in his mind and from his mouth in torrential waves.  Poignant and punctuated silence when questioned usually lead the Mad Beggar to spout the fortunes of those who engaged him.

The Mad Beggar had a secret though, one the people of Cornfall kept with slippery unconsciousness.  Dahni Bobbajon was ageless.  Whispered stories from the elders to the ears of grandchildren around campfires and at bedtime hinted at the truth, but the details were always lost or overlooked or ignored with each new dawn.  Dahni Bobbajon had protected the people of Cornfall for generations.
