Cyndi’s Riddles and Rhymes XV
Arrow
We need to find a needle
Buried in a haystack
Hunting through the darkness
Put us on the right track
Fired from the satyr’s bow
An arrow flew straight and far
Show us some signs and clues
So we know how close we are
Smiley sent a piece of himself
Hurtling through the sky
I’d like to take it back to him
And jam it in his eye!
Blinded
A fleck of dust, a bit of dirt
Might get into your eye
The foreign objects burn and hurt
You’ll certainly start to cry
When next you reach for your hammer’s hilt
You won’t really be able to see
If you’re grabbing a hammer, a bat, a stilt
Or even the branch of a tree
Paths
Paths through the dark will twist and wind
Making your goal impossible to find
Your feet and directions become confused and crossed
The longer you try, the more you’ll be lost
Missile
You just never know when the wind will blow
Bending the trees to and fro
Speeding along with screaming force
And blowing your aim way off course
Girl Trouble
Before the tournament for the balefire starts
Motivate the girls with revenge in their hearts
Weave Tiffany and David’s threads along the same path
So she may share with him her vengeful wrath
An ugly sight, the fight that ensues
Taxing poor David, so in the tournament he’ll lose
Ants in the Pants
Creepy, crawly critters and bugs
Beetles and roached, spiders and slugs
Pay a visit to the one who would do us harm
Give ’em a little taste of your Sluagh charm
